Not-for-profit social enterprise giving our community access to organic fruit & veg
Farmacy Co-op is a not-for-profit social enterprise that launched in Bakewell in March 2020 following a £25,500 grant from Severn Trent Community Fund. As part of the grant, we offer an organic fruit & veg box scheme & will also launch a Health Program in October focused on boosting immunity.
The produce we deliver is grown without chemical pesticides & is non genetically modified.
We aim to source our produce from local farmers as much as possible to support the localisation of food production rather than corporate food dependence.
Any profit we receive goes back into the project so we can serve the community better & our mission can expand across other communities.
We believe in democracy at work and community ownership. We follow the 7 Co-operative Principles: Open & Voluntary Membership, Democratic Member Control, Members’ Economic Participation, Autonomy & Independence, Education / Training / Information, Cooperation Among Cooperatives and Concern for Community.
We are launching Pop-up Farmacy Co-ops in a number of locations!

Global supply chains are breaking down & experts are predicting a food crisis. We are establishing secure, local & regional supply chains so our communities ALWAYS have access to fresh local food. Start using a Farmacy Co-op local to you or help us launch one. Your community needs you.

Emergency Supply of Storage Food
Food shortages are coming but we don’t know how bad they will be.
We’re advising everyone to have an emergency supply of food for the winter.
We hope you share our passion to further this mission
We believe that access to organic food is not a privilege, it's a human right. Farmacy gives you access to healthy food that will allow you to feed your family with confidence. We only source food that we would eat and feed to our own family.
Also part of our mission is to promote the localisation of organic food production and support small local farmers and businesses.
This famous quote by Hippocrates, the ancient Greek founder of medicine, is what we aim to embody at Farmacy. We'll give you the knowledge and the guidance to allow you to manage, improve or even reverse many common health conditions.
